At the end of Series One, Cutter returned through an anomaly to find the world the same except for one difference – Claudia had disappeared. Had Cutter’s actions in the past altered the present? Or had he in fact returned to the wrong present? Everyone appears oblivious to Cutter’s concerns. Just as he is coming to terms with the loss, he makes a shocking discovery when a new recruit arrives called Jenny Lewis…
Meanwhile, the unexplained anomalies continue to rip through the fabric of time, causing havoc in the present day. The team must face a family of deadly raptors terrorising a bowling alley; huge, foul smelling carnivorous worms that have taken over a new skyscraper; a sabre-toothed tiger apparently adopted as a pet; giant scorpions that pose a terrible threat to a curious little girl; and amphibious mammals from the future – part walrus, part human.
Just as dangerous is the traitor in the team’s midst and the deadly trap set for them. Who is the spy and what do they want? And, what about Helen, Cutter’s ex-wife? The ever present threat of Helen’s return plays on Cutter’s mind. He knows it’s not a question of if she comes back, but when? And for what purpose?
As series two begins, Claudia Brown, a member of the original team, has never existed, except in Cutter’s mind, and the others have no idea who she was. Cutter alone must convince them their actions have inadvertently altered the course of nature. But he has absolutely no idea what went wrong or how to fix it…
